Alexis Mourtzanos is a filmmaker and visual artist from Athens, Greece. He is currently based in Los Angeles, pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing at UCLA. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.

His filmmaking style blends elements of surrealism, music and dance, science, and poetry. His practice extends into visual and mixed media art, interactive video installation, expanded cinema, and AI.  Among his projects, his debut fiction short film Dramaquin 500mg was an official selection of the 2023 LA Shorts International Film Festival. His short film Dance Goodbye – Nuclear Radio has screened at festivals across Greece and the United States.
